Blood night this Sunday - wear old clothes

Hi all, 

Last week we dealt with injuries, this week we dealt with blood!

Its very important that you wear old clothes if you want to participate and get some blood on you..

We will be doing casualty make up and using the injured mannekins . 

Be prepared to get just a little dirty and very important. We will run a little later than usual. So 7:30 swim pickup will be pushed back by about 15-20 minutes

Just in time for Halloween. You'll learn how to do up Gruesome injuries( and learn how to treat them )

Swimwear and a brightly coloured swim cap

Wetsuit if you have it (not essential, don't rush to buy one)

Booties, old runners or protective footwear you can get wet.

Something warm to go home in

Summer begins

Crew spent the day teaching water safety on loughshinny beach for local primary school kids.

Loads of hands on fun teaching the basics with everyone even getting the chance to throw ring boys into the sea., Gloria Sunshine loads of sunblock and a fun crowd.

Sea swims are coming but remember we've a couple more Sundays in the pool.

No bank holiday swim and yes we are swimming into June!

All swimmers in Sunday got their PPE resuscitation facemask. An essential in our live rescue kits.

At this stage all swimmers should have received training, if you missed out, that's no problem. We'll catch you at your next swim.

We have no swim on the bank holiday but our back for the rest of the Sundays in June.
