This is it... Last summer swim for 2016

This Saturday will be our very last summer swim of the season , 4pm on the beach, it'll also be your very very last chance to do any open water assessments.

Be on the beach at 4, and bring Lifesaving clothes and a flask !

This Sunday we will be welcoming new swimmers down for induction night.

If you have not yet signed up to return remember we start back filling spaces from this week and do not reserve places. Make sure to email or text us before 1pm Sunday if you have not yet been in touch!

If you are coming down for the first time you will have received contact from Orla at this stage , if not please email or text us and we will be in touch with you. All new swimmers must have a parent or adult guardian with them on the first night. Make sure you know where you are going and give plenty of time to get here especially if you are passing croker area.

No dry work until October!

Anyone doing open water during the summer Simon and Ciarán are arranging the last assessments so make sure to speak with them on Sunday

We will cross over between pool and beach through June and to the beach for July and August .

If you are travelling, travelling as gaelige, make sure you are on email (you can register here or send us an email or text 0961595422)

If you are doing survive and save make sure you have done a 'core' before we finish the pool. Speak to your teacher

Finally if you are lining up for exams , we know it sucks, we promise two things - it will get better and we will have a BBQ on the beach when you are done

This Sunday marks a special and important anniversary in Ireland.

Sthoee will be participating in the snapshot of Ireland this Sunday evening.

We're going to try recreate the club shot......underwater. We need everyone there

Mark the date

There's a few updates this week.

First of all valentines night will be one of two event nights before Easter. For anyone unaware you don't miss event nights, not saying anything beyond that.

New members, we've a lot of interest in joining, we will be doing splits shortly to create space and optimise lanes. If you've someone interested in joining make sure you use the join tab above.

Beach Lifeguard is filling, remember to speak to Simon on deposits. Don't delay, this will fill.

This Sunday we will have an opt in class on working as a Lifeguard both in Ireland and abroad. We suggest that anyone mid teen and above sits in but won't stop any age. From fitness to J1 it's a roadmap to adventure.

Doing Gaisce? You have to participate in class to get a sign off. Your teacher will sign you off.

Late swim, if you are looking to improve times, get fitter or just want more there is a late swim available for no extra cost. Ask your teacher (and bring water)

Some housekeeping.... If a first hour swimmer is waiting for an hour 2 swimmer they must wait on the bank. No exceptions!

And finally, lots of people are up to their necks in exams, we know just how stressful that can be, feel free to join the swim for a head clearing stress free evening.

A little wet but all looks good, we'll be refreshing the first aid and redoing the racks for what must be the thousandth time, this time it'll definitely be right.

Registrations for April 2016 Dublin Beach Lifeguard start this Sunday for existing swimmers.

You must be 16 or over in April to attend!

This course will fill, do not delay as we don't hold spaces!

Non members can register on the join section and will be contacted from Monday.
